Toad in the Process of Laying Eggs

This is a female toad who is in the long, tedious process of laying eggs. The eggs (little black circles) are encased in a translucent substance. The eggs resemble a black pearl necklace. She lays literally thousands of eggs at a time. I would imagine that she is totally exhausted when the process is complete.
